Child Safety Handbook Victoria

There is no higher priority than protecting our children. The greatest tool available to combat youth vulnerability is through knowledge.  From preventative measures at home to safety outdoors, from cyber safety to dealing with peer pressures, this handbook is a resource for every family, school community organisation.

The Handbook

This Handbook includes everything we need as a community to protect our most valuable and vulnerable resource – our children.  The Handbook offers advice and facts on everyday activities, cyber safety, bullying, crossing roads etc. to the more unusual incidents such as such as floods and fires and even goes into details on the effects of smoking, caffeine and drugs.

This child safety handbook app covers a wide range of safety risks and provides practical, clear advice about preventing and responding to harmful situations.  As parents, teachers, carers and community members, it is important to keep our knowledge up to date, to help children of all ages to thrive in a rapidly changing world, in particular the inclusion of cyber safety. Child Safety Hub

An online resource for parents, carers and teachers.  Child Safety Hub responds in a practical way to the myriad of dangers facing children, whether they be at home, school or out and about.  Tips and information are provided for parents and ideas for children.  All importantly, the emphasis is on prevention.

About VIC Police Legacy

Victoria Police Legacy is a not for profit charitable organisation that provides support and services to people in the police family that have lost a husband, wife or partner who is a serving or a retired sworn member of Victoria Police.  We also provide support and services to serving or retired sworn members who have lost husbands, wives or partners.
